At least they get infotainment right. Either that or SYNC is a gigantic piece of shit (it is) The reason your ol pal 50 says this is that I have my good old iPod Classic that I carry with me because why have 100 songs when you can carry 4700? Well that is what I thought too but apparently my work car which is a Ford Escape seems to think that its more fun to completely lose its shit and randomly change to entirely different albums mid-album. My personal car a Dodge Charger and its Uconnect can wantonly flip to different albums, tracks, or entire playlists without so much as a judder and its from the dinosaur ages of 2013! So why can’t Ford find a way to make SYNC behave properly? I honestly can’t get it to function well in my soon to be ex-wife’s GMC either though so I stand by my statement that Uconnect is best. I’m not honestly sure if its just that they aren't up the gargantuan task of indexing that much music in an intelligible way or what but they are also slow, clunky and generally un-fun to use
If only EssExTee could be so grossly incandescent

It’s not just you, Uconnect is the best on the market. Kia’s isn’t too far behind.

I fucking love the Uconnect in my car (2012 Chrysler 300) . Most intuitive and reliable infotainment system I’ve ever used.

I have heard that Uconnect is the best or close to. I like what’s in my Kia. At this point, the best thing I think is just CarPlay.

Yeah but the downside there is that car play doesn’t mean anything to old dinosaur iPod classics other than you push the play button.

Yep, UConnect - even the dark ages versions are excellent.

Uconnect is the beat system I have used so far. Worked flawlessly in my Abarth. Wondering if I can retrofit it into my Jeep.

Sounds complicated at best. Some discussion from a few years ago.

I rent cars often because I travel for work, so I’ve tried all the American systems as well as most Korean & Japanese cars . I also own a BMW & a Mercedes, but have never owned or recently rented an English car or something from VW Group.
I agree that for American cars, U-Connect is best. But, overall the newest Mercedes Benz technology is the best I have used.

Cadillac’s infotainment is the worst system I’ve used. But buttons do not respond half of the time and it’ s not intuitive.
They aren’t even trying.

Yeah, I don’t know how far back the software supports devices.

Traded, more specifically lemoned the Fiat for some weird ESC issues

I’ve rented 4 Toyotas in a row and cannot for the life of me figure out why music spontaneously starts playing every time I turn the volume up so I can hear Google Maps directions. I didn’t have any issues with the Edge I rented though.

My work truck is an F-150 and the Sync system sucks. It takes far too long to load a list of available mobile apps when my phone is plugged in, doesn’t even recognize one of my podcast apps so I can’t play anything from it, occasionally switches between stitcher and pandora for no reason, and randomly decides the only cable I’ve ever used with the system draws too much power and I can’t do anything.

Probably me and 5 other, people really. But I like it because of its gargantuan storage space and the fact I really just want a music player. My phone can’t accpet sad cards either. I suppose I could get a big flash drive and clone the iPod over though that would still probably suck.
